A nongun, A legal nonfunctional matal display model with moving parts
This is one of the older MP-40 models made by "MGC" Model Gun Company starting back in 1968. It was used in many WWII reenactments in the 1980's and has a nice character from use and age. There is some rust and minor scratches and nicks as you can see in the photos but in my opinion that's what makes it look so realistic and old. It's perfect for a historic display or for us on a mannequin. Everything works properly on it except the flip up sight seems to be stuck. The folding stock is nice and snug when locked into the outer position as well as when folded up. No cracks in the gripps or hand guard. The bolt moves, and releases with the trigger and the mag is removable. The barrel nut has a hole in it that was for a screw but it is stripped out. The hole should be on the bottom but the barrel nut turns a bit too far. A proper washer would make the nut stop with the hole to the bottom but I don't have one to fit it. Or you could possibly full the hole with putty or something. The strap is a modified WWII G98 strap. The newer versions of these are cheaper but they don't look as authentic as this older example.
